You have many options in setting up a home gym, but the choices for weight training might be ‘Free weight’ stations. Adjustable benches, power racks for holding barbells, dumbbells, barbells and plates (round weights). Mostly movable equipment for more heavy duty use.

Great post, this really helps. It gives me confidence on how to pick exercise equipment that I prefer a treadmill. The only question is to choose the right treadmill, I've asked some friends for suggestions and searched on internet. I never thought it took so long to make a decision as some many things to think about like quality, price, motor things. And there are so many online shops like ebay, workoutworld.com.au and lifespanfitness.com.au, blabalbla, they all claim their's best ,so confusing.

And I think your rule of thumb works. Thanks for you tips.

Jessica,

Sorry for the confusion. A consistent use of the Stairmaster will work to tone, not enlarge, your lower body muscles, including the glutes. Your question is appreciated.
